Stalteri, Vincenzo J. "Vincent"
ALBANY - Vincenzo J. " Vincent" Stalteri, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Siderno Marina, Reggio Calabria, Italy, on March 6, 1945, the son of the late Giuseppe Stalteri and Caterina Marzano. Vincenzo was the devoted husband to Rosa M. Stalteri (Paonessa). They were married 52 years.
Vincenzo worked as a Machine Operator for Freihofer's Baking Company until his retirement. He was also a skilled tailor and short-wave radio enthusiast.
Vincenzo enjoyed spending time with his entire family. He was an avid reader. Vincenzo was a jack-of-all-trades, and was commonly referred to by his friends as "MacGyver."
The family would like to thank the 5th floor staff at St. Peter's Hospital, as well as the hospice staff, who provided kind and compassionate care to Vincenzo and his family.
In addition to his wife, Vincent is survived by his children, Caterina (John) Schramm, Giuseppe (Rebecca) Stalteri, Vincenzo (Sarah) Stalteri, and Michele (Tracy) Stalteri; his adoring grandchildren, Vincenzo IV Stalteri, Santino G. Stalteri, Arturo F. Stalteri, Evangeline Stalteri, and Aurora Stalteri; his sisters, Teresa Pedulla, Marisa Pedulla, and Antonella Pedulla; his brother, Giovanni Pedulla; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Vincenzo was predeceased by his brother, Francesco Pedulla.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, N.Y., on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a funeral service to begin at 7:00 p.m. A short visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., before proceeding to Calvary Cemetery, 481 US-9W, Glenmont, N.Y. 12077.
