Werner’s commercial legacy is not just Stiefel Laboratories and its products, nor the 3,000 plus dedicated employees working in over 100 countries, but it is the memory in the hearts of long-term Stiefel employees of his style of leadership by example, his knowledge of the business, his dedication to the viability and growth of Stiefel Laboratories, his passion for life and doing great work, and his personal commitment to the well-being of all Stiefel employees. Werner will be missed, but forever remembered.

My deepest sorrow and hearfelt sympathy go out to my dear friends Joan Stiefel Rodgriguez and her sister Stephanie--Mr. Stiefel's daughters, and their families. I am so sorry Joanie! God Bless you all. May God and your families and your friends help you through your deepest sorrow. The Stiefel family is so humble, yet brilliant...a credit to your father surely. I hope your company will continue the great work he began with all the wonderful Stiefel products and great integrity.

Love,

Nellie

I am very proud to say that I knew WKS - he taught me so much, not just about the business, but about myself. WKS wasn't just my boss, he was a good friend and mentor.
