William Kivlen

Kivlen, William GREENWOOD, S.C. William Lawrence Kivlen, 72, husband of Evelyn Jane Bigelow Kivlen, died June 8, 2013 at Hospice House in Greenwood. Born in Albany, November 20, 1940, he was a son of William and Evelyn Buchwald Kivlen. He was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College and retired from New York Telephone Company, now Verizon, and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years are two daughters, Sherry A. Tkacy and Joan A. Andros, both of Ware Shoals S.C.; one brother, Michael Kivlen of North Port, Fla. and one sister, Janice Bigelow of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Alicia Andros of Nassau N.Y., Charles Andros IV of Nassau, Karri Tkacy of Ware Shoals and one great-granddaughter, Kylie Valdes of Ware Shoals. No services are planned at this time.
