Snyder, William "Bill"
CONCORD, N.C. - William "Bill" Patrick Snyder, 56, of Concord, N.C., passed away on March 10, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 4, 1968, in Niskayuna, N.Y., to Bill and Mary Ann Snyder. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy, from 1987 to 1990, on U.S.S. Forrestal. He graduated from Shaker High School in 1986, and from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1994, with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. Bill was the Director of the Energy and Corrosion group for RK&K, LLP, providing engineering and management support to multiple teams across the east region. His expertise spanned pipeline engineering and design, inspection, corrosion control and management in the petroleum and utility industries. Bill was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was an avid golfer, a member of Irish Creek Golf Club and spent much of his free time on the course. Bill had an affection for his dogs, especially his precious dog, Dude.
Bill was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Johanna in 2001; and his father, Bill Snyder in 2010.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Feiden Snyder; two sons, Justin Snyder of Charlotte, N.C. and Jared Snyder of Concord; his mother, Mary Ann Snyder, of Latham; brothers, Brian (Julie) Snyder of Crystal River, Fla., Wesley Snyder of Latham, and Steven Snyder of Latham; his dogs, Cali and Jack; and many extended family members and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Bill's honor. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at The Club at Irish Creek at 1196 Fairway Drive, Kannapolis, N.C. 28081, and all family and friends are welcome to attend. Burial, with full military honors, will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., in the Salisbury National Cemetery Annex, 501 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury, N.C. 28144.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Bill's honor to the Til Valhalla Project. They provide help to veterans to prevent suicide.
