Zelda B. Burghhardt

Burghhardt, Zelda B. COXSACKIE, N.Y. Zelda B. Burghhardt, age 67 years, of Spencer Blvd., Coxsackie, died January 15, 2007, at St. Peter's Hospice, Albany after a long illness. She was born in Catskill, N.Y., April 25, 1939 and was the daughter of the late LaVerne and Alberta (Clouter) Smith. Zelda was employed as a teller for the National Bank of Coxsackie for over 34 years. She was a graduate of the Coxsackie-Athens High School, class of 1956. Zelda was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Coxsackie, and treasurer of the United Women's Group. Her lifetime profession was that of a bank teller. She was an avid animal lover and loved to cook and bake. She is survived by a son, Michael Burghhardt and daughter-in-law Lisa of Wynantskill; a daughter, Tracy Karlin and son-in-law Lindsay of Saratoga Springs; a sister, Sarah Jane Smith of Coxsackie; and several cousins. Funeral services will take place Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Coxsackie with Pastor Robert Granger officiating. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call at the W.C. Brady's Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot of the Riverside Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Coxsackie, 103 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY 12051. Envelopes are available at the funeral home for your convenience.
