Dear Martha,

Anyone who knew your mother will miss her sorely. It isn't as though they don't make them like Alice any longer, because she was one of a kind. But she always managed to both grin and glow at the same time. I'll never forget my first sight of Alice, sitting next to you, in identical dresses -- and I sat on that same bench from then on because I had seen people I wanted to be Friends with. I hold you all in the Light.
