I remember Alma as a business education teacher from New Stanton High School. She was my sister, Ethel Trimmings's home room teacher. That bwas many years from 1954 to 1957. As a child I attended Alma's mother kindergarten school in the early forties. We will miss Alma's beautiful smile. As a teacher she has touched many lives. May you be sustained by her memories.

Sorors Michelle and Lisa, I met Mrs. Daniels after graduating college and relocating to Jax, and the Gamma Rho Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, in the late '80's. I will always remember Soror Daniel's example of style, grace, poise and dignity. Now, as an active member of the local Chpt of Jack & Jill of America Inc. I am not at all surprised to now find that she played such a large role in bringing the organization alive in our community. May our Lord and Savior bless you and your families in this your time of loss. We know she is in a better place, but our hearts mourn. Hold fast to your faith in God to strengthen you. Much love always!

Michelle, Lisa and family,

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
"Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best

The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love. May today's sorrow give way to the peace and comfort of God's love.

Mrs Alma C. Daniels came into my life during a most difficult time. For her being an educator was more than her profession, it was her calling. Like a candle, she gave her all giving light to countless numbers of young people across the chasm of the years. Her office was a meeting place for so many of us before and after school where we gathered to hear her teach lessons from books and most of all lessons about life. To this very day, I carry so many of those conversations in my heart. May God Bless her beautiful life and memory and may her family find solace in the Word of our Christ "...I will not leave you comfortless..."
