I worked with him for a short period of time at WXQR in Jacksonville, NC. Had I known he was in Jacksonville, FL, when I retired in the area, I'd have looked him up.

I don't know why this name came to mind, but it did. Of course, I remember his as "Bud Andrews." I was in high school at the time and would do a lot of call in contests. I probably held the record for winning tickets to Sarasota Jungle Gardens. In fact I won so many that he asked me to scale down to one per week, which I did. The whole thing was done in fun under my alias, "Count Dracula." My experience of Bud was fun and entertaining.
Sometimes, people aren't aware of how fondly they would be remembered. There have been many times his name has come up in conversations with myself and people with whom I was in high school, which was in the late '60's and early 70's
My condolences to his family. Andrew Budnick's memory has gone lots of years and lots of miles.

When we lose our love ones, it's comforting in knowing that they will forever be remembered in our hearts. So, let's keep Bud's memory alive by rejoicing in the time we were able to spend with him. Bud was a man of few words, but he never failed to assist anyone who reached out to him. We miss his announcements and TSP advise here at ACS Jacksonville.

"Bud" and I worked together at ACS-IRS. His work station, when he was my "Lead Examiner", was right next to mine, and I got to know and enjoy his witty personality and great sense of humor.
I am very glad that I have such good memories of him, and the opportunity to know him as a coworker and a friend.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
