To Valarie Shaw and The Mack Family,

No words can express the loss you now feel, rest in the knowledge that you were able to love and be loved by one of God's own. In the days to come God will show you his love, kindness, mercy and most of all his ability to bear your burdens. May you continue to walk in his divine countenance. To the family of Nikki, our prayers and thoughts are with you. We knew a beautiful young lady who dedicated her life to the Lord and tried to compell others to give their life to Him. Nikki had the gift of encouraging those around her no matter what she was going through, telling us to depend on Jesus. We truly will miss your smile and your jokes. To the family, be encouraged.

I met Nikki about 15 years ago, we lived in the same apartment complex. She was the type of person you could never forget, always sweet, smiling, and could keep you laughing. She will truly be missed by all she came in contact with.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, and those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Anissa,

Of all the things I have encountered in life this by far is the hardest. I can’t even fathom not seeing that glowing smile and the encouraging things you always say no matter how you were feeling. But now I know it was the Lord working through you that changed so many lives. (Especially mine) Its because of you my darling Nikki that I seek the same rewards that you have received and that is to enter the Kingdom of Heaven and take my place beside you like it was always meant to be. Others may assume that they thought your heart was meant for someone else but we both know where our hearts are at and that is with each other. I am truly saddened by your departure and no one will ever understand the bond that we both shared for one another. You will always remain the love of my life and I will miss you dearly. Yes I know you will be watching over me just as the Lord does (I love you) so much (my angel).

You’re in my heart and Soul forever

To the family of "Nikki",

May God see you through in this time of need. I've known Niki since the age of thirteen. Our families are affiliated with the same ministry. My brother Earl has spoken of the goodness that Nikki did for the children of the ministry often. How she never did complain nor brag, she just did whatever it took for those children to stay under the anoitence of the Lord. And for that she was truly a child of God. May your family continue to find comfort and be blessed from the Matthews family.

From all of us @ JEA business office. We send our prayers, love, and condolences. We all worked closely with Nikki and will miss her dearly. Her smile, unselfishness, loving spirit, and her evident love for God in which she so greatly shared with others.

Nikki would even pray with her customers about their own situations. During the time of her leave of absence, the customers would constantly ask about her and her well-being. She kept us all uplifted. For all of the above reasons and many more, we will all love and miss her terribly. But we also have to remember that God never promised that there wouln't be sorrows in life, but he did promised to heal those wounds.

Her passing is truly a celebration of home-going!

Heaven awaits (Nikki) a

beautiful angel!

First of all to Nikki's family, may God continue to bless you and give you peace and consolation in your time of sorrow. I love you all.

To my best friend, my sister who I've known for over 15yrs, you will be truly missed more than words can say. (ECC 3:1-8) For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:(and I believe we did it all)a time to be born, & a time to plant,& a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, & a time to heal; a time to break down, & a time to build up; a time to weep, & a time to laugh; a time to mourn, & a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, & a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, & a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, & a time to lose; a time to keep,& a time to cast away; a time to rend, & a time to sew; a time to keep silence, & a time to speak; a time to love, & a time to hate; a time for war, & a time for peace; and now a time to die. As a christian, you set out to do things that were worthy of the effort and risks. The Lord saw you fight a good fight, you finish the race and you kept the faith, so Jesus move with compassion, stretched out his arms and called you home.
