Audrey IRONS Obituary

IRONS Audrey C. Irons Granny, age 95, was granted her angel wings on April 2, 2016. Her final days were surrounded by family and friends that she touched in so many ways throughout her very memorable life. Granny was always smiling, laughing, and loved to tell jokes and stories. She was very quick witted and guided her children and grandchildren with her rich in experience life advice. She was a native of Chesterfield, SC and before her retirement she worked for many years at Community Hospital, Toms River, New Jersey and was the daughter of Colin and Belle Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Martin C. Irons, Sr. in 1983 and her son, Martin C. Irons, Jr. in 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Pomeroy (Ed), and grandchildren, Eddie-Mike, Lisa and Mark, a son; Steve Irons (Dorothy) and granddaughter, Kimberly, a daughter-in-law, Shirley Irons and grandchildren, Marty III, Daryl and Shane; and numerous great and great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and one special niece in Jacksonville, Helen Townsend (Don). At Granny's request there will be no services. In Granny's own words, If you can't come see me alive, don't cry now Please Sign Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
