Oh how sad, as only just found out. Met Barb on line via watching a beautiful Bald Eagle nest, via another friend in UK. Am saddened to hear of Barbs death, but she is free from pain and distress of her condition. I enjoyed our chats and video chats. We had a laugh at Barbs bed hair as she got up early for our chats on video. Showed her the Dyfi Osprey project when Les and I visited there in Wales. Live skype from Wales was fun. Rest in Peace dear Barb. Sorry for your loss to all the family and critters.

A Requiem for a Special Classmate - By Bob Campbell, 1960 Classmate

Yes, she was always one of us,
We who tote bags and ride the bus;
For she was someone we made up,
To fill full our half-empty cups.

For beauty's a sight to behold,
In this world often bleak and cold;
And beauty's more than a delight,
For those who dream of love each night.

And, thus, she lived within our minds,
A fantasy of a rare kind;
But, now, she's left us, all alone,
To be a mem'ry, fixed in stone.

So, now, we pray, and let her rest,
In God's Garden, where all is blessed;
In God's Garden where she will be,
At rest, for all, eternity.

It was an honor and honor to have known Barb. The study nights (that never happened, too busy laughing), the trips from Syracuse to Binghamton. Our escapes to BK for greasy food. My friend you will be missed. Heaven is a better place!

I was a classmate of Barb's at Capital City School of Nursing in Washington, DC. We became instant friends as we were both from Ohio. Through the years we have kept in touch through our reunions and Facebook. Barb will be missed my her Classmates from CCSN. We always enjoyed good times when we were together. I have notified most of the remaining classmates and all of our hearts are heavy with the loss of a wonderful friend. She can still cheer on her favorite football teams with her prime spot in heaven-especially The Ohio State University Buckeyes.

My heart is sad to hear of Barb's passing. We had so many good times in Junior High and High School. Spending time at each other's house, sharing all the things teen girls do. We had such a good visit at our 50th class reunion and talked many times on facebook. I will miss her. She had the most beautiful smile and laughter!!!! Prayers are with you all. Barb was a good friend and classmate (Mt. Gilead High School class of 1960). We grew up together, so there are many memories I have of those wonderful "years of our youth".
In later years we enjoyed reminiscing about those years and "catching up on our families", at our class reunions.
I am hopeful that the memories her family made over the years will sustain each of you through this difficult time.
May God bless her soul.

I am happy to have known Barb as a friend & co-worker. I will remember the luncheon dates we had with Kate. Barb would tell a joke to keep us laughing. What good times
With heartfelt sympathy & prayers to her family

Stew and I are so thankful to have spent time with Aunt Barb when she was cracking jokes and sharing fond memories just before Thanksgiving in the hospital. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews.

I'm so glad I had the privilege of knowing Barbara for the last 11 years. She was a strong woman who stood up for what she believed in. And yet, she was also kind and compassionate. I don't know if she ever knew that I appreciated and followed the last advice she ever gave to me. My deepest sympathy goes to all of her family.

Barb, going to miss our crazy road trips. I am, however, glad you are now at peace and no longer dependent on anyone. Bandit will miss his visits with you.
RIP friend.
