Tracey, I still read the island paper on line and sometimes I wish I hadn't. I remember watching Haley up at the apt on the beach when she was just a baby. Seems like only yesterday. Only time will soften your pain, for you I wish that time flies by on Angels wings...Phyllis

I had the privilege of teaching Barry, and working directly with him at our summer residency. He was a beautiful, kind soul, and I am grateful for our time together.

My co-worker, my friend,

We worked alot of races together on Duval rd. with Liberty..You made me laugh alot, esp. with the lawn mower races! You had all kind of ideas on how to "stoop" up a lawn mower to out run those guys on the dirt track! You were always cracking jokes! I will miss your smile and friendship!
You will be forever missed and always in my heart..You were one great person to work with!

To Barry’s Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Barry’s death. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Barry was a fellow student in on-line classes through Walden University. I never met him personally but considered him a friend based on our interaction in class. He was always insightful and polite, even when he disagreed with you. I am a better person for having know him and shared a very small part of his life.

I was in class online with Barry and left my last message to him on 8/5. I never had the opportunity to meet him, but the work that he did in our class touched my heart and left a great impression on me.
Barry and I shared a passion for reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.

Barry was a graduate student of mine . He always had wonderful contributions to add to our class discussions. While I did not know him personally I knew him as a student and was impressed by his academic integrity and passion for his research. I do, however, remember him fondly discussing his daughter .He was very proud of her. He is already greatly missed. My condolences to all of his family and friends.

Although I only new Barry for a relatively short amount of time, I was blessed to have met and been able to share time with him. Barry was able to bring a smile to my face almost instantly with his zany sense of humor and off the cuff jokes. This past July in Minneapolis at our second residency for our degree, Barry was able to lift my spirits when I was feeling down because I was spending my birthday away from my family. I will cherish the time I was allowed to spend with him and I am now mourning for the time that is gone. To his family: please accept my deepest condolences and know that Barry was able to touch many lives. His memory will remain in my heart and I will think of him often.
