Bettie Elmore

ELMORE Memorial services for Bettie Elmore, 75, will be held 6PM Monday, April 9, 2012 at First Christian Church, 2876 Moody Avenue, Orange Park, FL with Rev. Donnie Benefield officiating. Bettie was born on August 30, 1936 in La Grange, Ga. She went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2012 in Orange Park, FL surrounded by her family. Bettie was a devoted Air Force military wife that enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and daughter. She has lived in the Orange Park area for the past 34 years. Bettie was an avid golfer, bowler, gardener, traveler, scrapbooker and bridge player. She enjoyed being with friends and family, and most of all she loved her Jaguars. Bettie came from a large family of nine siblings, she was predeceased by her parents, Joe James and Ada Orene Murphy Terry; and 7 siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William Bill Elmore; daughter, Teresa M. Elmore; brother, Joe Terry, and many other loving family members and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bettie s doctors, nurses, the Orange Park Cancer Center and Heartland Hospice for there genuine care and treatment that Bettie received. The family will be having a reception in the fellowship hall at First Christian Church immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Bettie s name be made to Almost Home Pet Haven Inc., 3948 South 3rd Street, #315, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
