1942 - 2017

WELCH Bruce Lawrence Welch, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He was born on September 16, 1942 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, but life's adventure brought him down to Jacksonville, Florida in the early 70's where he worked as a crane operator for the Shipyards and later as a crane inspector. He loved to laugh and tell stories; he loved to read and write; he loved piddling in the garage, but most of all he loved his family, and he will be dearly missed. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Yost and Jack L. Welch and his brothers, Jack Welch and David Welch. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary V. Welch; children, Dana Welch and Lori Ann Meece (Freddy); stepsons Billy Steward (Kandie) and Doug Steward; brothers Robert Yost (Paula), Byron Yost (Sandy), Sam Yost (Diane), Dennis Welch (Debra); sisters, Jessie Yost and Holly Paulhamus (Scott); grandchildren Amber, Carly, and Chandler Steward, Stefani Aliff (Chad), and Bobby Staton; great-grandchildren Wesley and Caydence. Funeral services will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home on Cesery Blvd. on Friday, December 29, 2017 with a visitation at 10am and services at 11am.
