Cecil Henry Wright

WRIGHT Cecil Henry Wright, 87, passed away Monday, January 2, 2006. A native of Tisonia, Florida, he grew up in St. Augustine, Florida and lived most of his life in Jacksonville. Mr. Wright worked at the Jacksonville Shipyards during WWII and afterwards went to work with Eastern Airlines. In the late 1950's he went to work at St. Regis Paper Company where he was active as President of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He retired as the Business Representative for District 112 of the I.A.M. & A.W. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Abner and Lucy Lourcey Wright; his wife of 47 years, Evelyn Wright; daughter, Charlene Michelle Wright; brothers, Samuel A., Jr., Raymond H., and William P. Wright; sisters, Pauline Dasher and Marie Callahan; sons-in-law, Barry Gaines and Troy Smith. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Wright Smith; four sisters, Josephine Murley, Agnes Smith, Norma Perrett, and Elsie Kennett; one granddaughter, Lori MichelleSmith; two great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Taylor Scott and Clayton Michael Osterhout; three sisters-in-law, Mattie Jean Wright, Charlotte Wheeler, and Ouida Gately; one brother-in-law and his wife, Richard and Drue Gately; one special nephew, Larry Gately, along with numerous other nieces and nephews.
