I was deeply saddened to read of Charlie's death. We were friends from our earliest years. I seem to remember we lived on Willow Branch Terrace when we were born. Our parents were good friends. We remained friends through all these years. We saw each other from time to time when he moved to Cathedral Towers, and I worked as administrator at St. John's Cathedral. When we got together, we reminisced about old times and old friends. We saw each other much less when I retired and moved to the beach.
I hope he did not suffer and his death was peaceful. I will miss him. I believe he is now at peace.
My deepest sympathy to the members of his family.
I had a conflict otherwise I would have been at his funeral.

Mr Strickland spent many hours in our Main Library downtown. His absence has been missed. My condolences to his family.
