Charles Stubbs Obituary

STUBBS Charles E.. Stubbs, 83, passed away November 7, 2009. He was born October 22, 1926 in Bermuda and moved from New York to Jacksonville in 1991 after retiring from Paine Webber. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and will be remembered for his warm smile, good humor, and positive outlook. He loved the beauty of the Caribbean as well as fishing, gardening, and people. Family members include his wife of 48 years, Adolfina 'Lou' Stubbs; sons, David, wife Phoebe Stubbs and Donald, wife Paula Stubbs; grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, Jordan, Stephen and Sara. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9358 Ft. Caroline Rd., Jacksonville. To all in the Stubbs family: Please be aware that the friends are thinking of you all and prayers are being offered in your behalf because we love you. Jehovah, our God of Comfort, is with you and he longs to bring back the work of his hands. Let our hope of the New World sustain you and ease some of your pain.

The girls and I will miss Charles very much. You and he were always so gracious and kind to us. He had such a unique sense of humor and kept us laughing all the time. He was such a loving brother and always very encouraging to us and shared his experiences with us. We look forward to seeing thim in the New World which won't be too long now. We love you Lou, David and family and Donald and family very much!!
