Daniel Carney Obituary

CARNEY Daniel (Pop's) Carney, Sr., 47, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009. He was born February 11, 1962 in Camden, New Jersey and moved to Jacksonville, at the age of 14. He was a loving husband, father and grand- father. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Joseph and Elizabeth Carney; daughter in law, Tonia. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gwen Carney; 3 sons, Joseph (Bubba) Carney, Michael Carney (Kelly) and Daniel Carney, Jr. all of Jacksonville; 2 daughters, Catina Prez (Andy) and Dana Carney (Michael) all of Jacksonville; 1 sister, Josephine Gurlett of St. Augustine; 1 brother, Pat Carney of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 2 PM in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville, with Rev. Mike Ester officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 12 noon continuing until the hour of service. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
