Dear Lisa,

We have known Darrell for the entire 18 years that we have lived in Jacksonville. What a wonderful, kind person he was. He was so proud of you and your family. He always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude.... about everything! We feel privileged just to have known him, and to have considered him our friend. We share your sorrow and send our very deepest sympathy to you and yours. We know that he is at peace in God's arms.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Pulley Family, At a time like this, there is a sorrow for which no Heart could ever be prepared... Please know you have the support & caring of so many, who keep you close in thought and pray for God's comfort & peace to be with you today and always. The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will Bless His people with peace. Psalm 29:11

Rose, you have lost your first born and I dont believe words could begin to comfort you but my heart is full of sorrow and I will be praying for you to find the comfort and peace that only God can give us.

John & Eric, The two of you have been blessed to have had a Dad that loves you both so much and he was so proud of you boys. I can look at you guys and see your father in you and I am very proud of the way you both were there for your Dad & your Mom. If you need to talk you can always call.

Lisa, 25 years and Darrell would still look at you with love in his eyes. You were Everything to him and he had peace at end knowing that you are a Godly woman and he would see you again. I know at this time your world is upside down and you fill so lost but the day will come when you will smile and think of Darrell. Lisa you did all you could do for him and then some, you loved him with all your heart and that is the same way he loved you with all he had and then some. Lisa lean on Gods word and his promises. To us he is faithful. Maybe this will help 1st Corinthians 10:13

Darrell, this is perhaps the hardest thing I have ever done. I know you can not call me any more, no more just droppin in on you for lunch, We can not talk about who's kid is goofier this week. We can not talk about going on a mission trip together some day. But you were always on a mission trip. Darrell, Thank you for being my friend you never let me down you loved my children, you incourged me and you chewed me out if I neded it in such a way that I would try to be a better person. This is not my last goodbye but I will see you we will meet in the sky when Jesus comes or I go home. I will see you at the gates. Love, your friend and Brother Mark.

Mike Rogers

August 15, 2005

As we go thourgh life thinking of childhood friends we ask ourself where time goes, but in that moment, joy comes over us and we go on with a smile and reflect of times gone by. At this moment I don't cry with sorrow but smile with joy because I know Darrell is in heaven sitting with our Lord with a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers our with the Pully faimly; Mike Rogers.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain untill the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-16

August 15, 2005

Dear Lisa,

When I look at the 25 years that you and Darrell have been together as man and wife - there is only one word I can say. Hallelujah! The love and tenderness you have shared with each other has overflowed from your own lives into the lives of everyone around you. What an inspiration and witness that Darrell's life has been. As you walk through the days ahead, remember Romans 8:39 "Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

God Bless You,

Keith and Peggy Griffin

August 15, 2005

Dear Lisa,

Today the earth has a large void, that in our physical lifetime will never be refilled. But while there is a void here, Heaven is rejoicing over a beloved new citizen. Just as God inhabits our hearts, and we know that He is there, so is Darrell, and all of our loved ones, in our hearts, because that is where Heaven begins. Though we cannot see him, Darrell is still with us. His love and bright smile will continue to light our lives, until the day that each of us joins him with Jesus in the place where our sorrows and tears are dissolved.

Lisa, remember that the grave holds no victory and death has no sting. Though we do not understand "Why?" and we weep now in our sorrow, joy will return to us. We have this promise to hold onto: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted". Please know that we are here to help you claim that promise of comfort, now and always.

We love Darrell and we love you,

Keith, Peggy, Keith Jr. and Hayden

So blessed are we that Darrell is a part of our life. We can only aspire to have the kind heart, courage, and strength of this man.

Aunt Rose ... no one could ask for a better mom. You raised a wonderful man that is loved by many. Thank you for keeping us all close.

Lisa ... my heart is yours to borrow as I know yours is breaking. Hold on to everything that is good. We love you as we do Darrell. He still lives around you in the beautiful family and life that you two created.

Family and to those who love him as we do ... he will be missed greatly , and remembered always.

Darrell ... Thank you for always being there for me. Listening to me when you had so much more to bear than I. For not just being my cousin, and big brother thru life, but my dear friend. Your art was so amazing to behold, even the little Stick Ant that you marked in your science book that got us in trouble for laughing in class. I will miss our Birthday phone call every year, picking on the fact that you are older than me for a whole month. I am happy for you that you lived a good life. I pray that whatever you are experiencing now is just the most wonderous thing that the heart and mind can imagine. Till next time, you will be in my heart.

I love you ~ Laurie Lee

Darrell was my cousin. We grew up together in Jax. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. The kindess given by him to anyone in need is a tribute to the kind of person he was in a world where kindness is rare when it should be the norm.

Darrell set a positive example every man should follow. I will always remember him as a hard working, kind and caring man.
