Just a little note to say you are still in my prayers, I saw david's pic and he sure looked like his momma for the world. Now he's an angel and he is smiling that sweet smile down on all of you. When you hear thunder you will know David has made another strike in the bowling alley in Heaven...He will always be with you . Love Tammy cupp McDowell

To Whom It May Concern:

I, Marlena Randall, David Durden, Jr.'s Aunt, just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the Love and Support you have given to our family, and would like to inform everyone that this Guest Book will be open indefinately so anyone out there can write on Holidays or on David Durden, Jr.'s birthday, which is July 13, 1991. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Marlena Randall, David's Aunt.

Uncle Jason Randall

April 2, 2006

David, Hey Little Buddy, Sorry things happened the way they did down here. We'll always miss the way you made us laugh and all the silly stuff you said. You were always doing something, and never let life hold you back. All I can say is "Live On Little Man". Watch after the rest of us. You will always be missed and loved for Eternity. Always missing you, Your Uncle Jason.

Aunt Marlena Randall

April 2, 2006

Dear David, just wanted to say how much I love and miss you already. Feels like it has been forever, already. Well, now that you are my Angel, I can always talk to you. Well, to be 14 years old, nobody will ever understand how mature you really are, but anybody that knew you would understand. (Accidents Happen) Just very sad that it was your name that God called so soon anyway. Well, I've been going by at least 3 to 4 times a week to fix your flowers and stuff at the Honda Shop. For just a young man, we all have so much and love and support from the community. We are blessed. There was so much support we didn't know where to start all the Thank You's and still a month later we are still thanking everybody. I'm really not ready to close, but you're probably tired of reading, Buddy, I Love You, and I will be talking to you soon.

Jamie, Kaytlan, and Jason, Jr. said to say Hi, and they love and miss you more than you will ever know. You will be in our Hearts forever. Love Aunt Marlena and Kids.

Grandma Beverly

April 2, 2006

To David, this is Grandma Beverly, just wanted to say how much I love and miss you already. You will never be forgotten. I talk to you all the time. Now that you are my Angel, I go to the bowling alley every Saturday to see how your bowling team is doing. They are doing good, but not as good as if you were there. They all are still trying to outbowl you, but we all know that is not going to happen, because we all know you are the Champ. I will be talking to you still on this stupid computer because I love you just that much. I will always talk to you in my heart, soul, and dreams. SWEEEEEET. Well, I am fixing to go for today so I can talk to you some more in my dreams. Love Always and Forever, Grandma Beverly

I am the father of Tabitha and Melissa Bosworth. Tabitha is a friend of your son and has been emotionally shattered by his passing. This has been her introduction to harsh reality.

I lost my brother when he was 14 in a very similar event. I was 16 at the time but I still feel the loss to this day. I can tell you that the pain will lessen significantly over time even though that seems impossible to believe.

As you heal, please do not underestimate the impact of this event on your other children.

Count your blessing and honor young David. I hope you find all of the strength and love you need to get through.

March 8, 2006

It is hard to begin writing words of comfort for a life that ended all too soon. My son and David had classes together at Terry Parker High and believe it or not, we have heard the funniest stories (good ones) about this "little man". My daughter recalls the times he'd come to the Freshman academy to get passes for class. He made every situation funny. When she'd ask why he needed a pass, he'd tell the cutest things to her that would make her break out in laughter. David apparently kept his friends laughing with his awesome sense of humor. Just imagine how much fun the angels will have with him!

When I received the call at work telling me of his demise, my heart was so saddened. I cried and then prayed that God gives strength to David's parents, sibling(s), and all that knew and loved him.

Just know that he is now in the hands of God; care free, worry free, and certainly having the fun that he was accustomed to. God makes no mistakes and He knows all. It's easy to bring our precious angels into the world, but so very hard to let go of them when they have to leave us.

I pray for David's family each night that God brings comfort, closure and everlasting peace to you all. Trust me, everything happens for a reason; God will prevail and He will give you the answers that you so deserve. David will be sadly missed by Branden Gibbons, his classmates, friends, teachers, and I will certainly miss the funny stories I've heard. Believe it or not, he touched my life!

Thanks for sharing him with us, and may God bless each of you.

It seems like just yesterday that we were cutting up, laughing and calling each other childish names in class. I will forever miss that infectious smile of David's that made me want to smile myself. I hope he is happy with the big man upstairs, skateboard in hand. Words cannot express how much I, as well as his other friends, and of course his family will miss little David. To his family, I hope you all get by well, my love and prayers go out to you, and to his soul in heaven. Take care Durden family.
