David Therrell Hall Sr.

HALL David Therrell Hall, Sr., 80, passed away March 15, 2006. Born November 13, 1925 to the late Ruby Willis Hall & Thomas Albert Hall in Auburndale, FL, he was a graduate of Auburndale High School and veteran of World War II having served in the U.S Navy. He retired from CSX Transportation, Inc. after 38 years and worked as a consultant for Humphries & Oberdier, P.A. Mr. Hall was a member of Murray Hill United Methodist Church for 48 years where he held numerous leadership positions. He was also a member of the Florida Sheriff's Association for over 46 years. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ethel Newbern Hall; children, David T. Hall, Jr. (Mary) of Bradenton, FL, Dianne Knoepfel of Jacksonville, and Denese Fields (Michael) of Burke, VA; brother, Vernon Hall of Auburndale, FL; grandchildren, Tammy Van Nort (Jon), David Hall, Lisa Dedrick (Scott), Matthew Knoepfel, Joshua Staples, Benjamin Fields, Adam Fields, and Richard Fields; and great-grandchildren, Cory Frattalone, Allen Frattalone, Dustin Van Nort, and Branden Van Nort. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 18, 2005, in the Murray Hill United Methodist Church, 4401 College St. Jax, FL 32205, with Dr. Nate Boles and Rev. Robert Long officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday (TODAY) HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S. Edgewood Avenue.
