Dawn you have been an inspiration to us all for many years. Running in the famed Freihofer's Race for Women in Albany as a blind woman was monumental. Working so hard to attain your Master's Degree, and fighting thru all roadblocks this life has put before you. Bask in God's Glory my dear cousin and celebrate your life and rejoice with those who have gone before you. I shall pray for you, Bill, Kelly, Peter and family.
Love,
Billy

Some of my earliest memories of Aunt Dawn are of being in her kitchen in Ardsley, watching her prepare syringes to manage Michele's diabetes. Even as a young girl, I remember being aware of how frightening that must have been for her and in awe of her strength. I remember admiring the persistence and determination it took for her to earn her Master's degree while mothering her three children and bravely facing her diagnosis of RP, knowing it would slowly erode and finally take her sight. Perhaps my happiest memory of Aunt Dawn is when she spirited my sister and I off with our cousins for a day of adventure on Cape Cod, a day which culminated in a late afternoon lunch of pizza together. I still have the Cape Cod mug, complete with a rainbow, that she bought us as a souvenir of that day.
Aunt Dawn had a life full of challenges. She endured what no Mom should ever need to endure--twice--in the loss of Michele and Danny. May she rest peacefully in the company of her two precious angels.
