Dessie Lee Darrisaw Dent

DENT Mrs. Dessie Lee Darrisaw Dent passed away peacefully December 6, 2015. A native of Wrightville, GA, having resided in Jacksonville, FL most of her life. She attended the local public schools of Duval County, graduating from Old Stanton High School . Mrs. Dent was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Other affiliations include a member of the OES and Hiriam of Jericho. She is predeceased by her husband, Willie Lee Dent. Survivors include her children, Jimmie Glenn, Mses. Gertrude Stuckey (Henderson), Rebecca McCaskill (Marcus) and Rose Manker (Calvin) of Tallahassee, FL; 6 sisters; 3 brothers; 17 gradnchildren; 3 great grandchildren; devoted friend, Ms. Dinah Taylor; a number of other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held 11AM, MONDAY, December 14, 2015 at her church, with Rev. Dr. Marvin C. Zanders, II, Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Dent will rest in the church for visitation FRIDAY from 5PM until 8PM and MONDAY from 9AM until the hour of service. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
