Never have I been so shocked when I opened our local north jax paper and saw that sweet girl from the tanning salon featured and it was about her accident. My daughters knew her from school and they are very sad about what happened. Please know your family is in our prayers and we just loved your daughter. She was such a sweet and kind girl that I remember who loved to talk on the phone and could always pick out the right tanning product for me because she knew I did not like to "tingle" or burn. God Speed Destiny,You Are In His Hands Now.

I knew destiny from the tanning shop and my daughter went to school with her, She was always so sweet to me and I am so sorry that she is gone from this world, she will always carry on because of her great gift to others by being a organ donor! god bless your family at this time.

Desi, I am so glad you and I got the chance to get as close as we did. I miss you so much. I pray everday for God to give us all strength. You were such a part of everyone's life. I will keep you close to my heart forever. Watch over your mom and your brothers as you always did. We will be together again one day. To Desi's family, I only met Desi a few times through Danielle, but I know she was a very special person. Even after several years of not seeing each other, she noticed me at the mall one day last year and came up to me to say hi like we were the oldest of friends. she was so sweet and it truly is a great tragedy to have lost her so young. but i know she had such an impact on so many people during her short time here on earth and she will be well taken care of in heaven, watching over everyone from afar until we meet again one day. my prayers are with your family during this time.

The sign on the display board below Three's Company and Oceanside says it all "We will miss you Desi". I didn't know her personally, but she always had a smiling face when I came into the tanning bed. Sabrina if you need anything let me know.

From our family to yours, A very magical young lady with the means to give and recieve such an unconditional love to and from everyone she met will be missed deeply by a huge family of chorus members. Her individual talent and love for music made her shine within the hearts of everyone around her. The loyalty of her frienship will live on in the hearts of our family and remembering each moment with her will keep her close in our thoughts and bring peace to our mourning hearts. We will miss Dessie. She was a very special young lady and were very proud of all her accomplishments. We will always remember the first time we saw her on Christmas Eve and such a beautiful gift from heaven that she was. We will always remember her beautiful smile and her always outgoing attitude. I met Destiny when she worked at the tanning store, she was alway so very sweet and kind alway smiling. My daughter went to high school with her and said she was one of the smartest people she knew. Our prayers our with you.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I met Desi when I visited my friend June Williams in May 2000. She was such a sweet girl and I was able to keep up with what was happening in Desi's life through June. She left a wonderful impression in my heart and I will never forget the short time I was able to spend with her. My prayers are with you at this sad time.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. From what we all have heard of Destiny from her family she was an extremely bright, sincere, and an all around wonderful girl. Several years ago you were all there to support our family during such a hard loss that hit our hearts when Chad Bob died and we know the pain you are feeling. Sweet Dessie... so sorry to all of you - Dessie overcame the odds in her short life - she was such a good girl.
A gathering of angels appeared above my head. They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said ~ They said come sail away, come sail away, Come sail away with me.
Psalms 119:76 says "May your unfailing love be my comfort according to your promise to your servant".
Dessie is absent from us, but present with the Lord, I know Davy welcomed her at the Heavenly Gate as she came home to rest.
