Bro. Mullins,
My, how time has passed and now its been 4 years since you left this place for eternal rest.
As I sit and listen to gospel music, I wonder how it would sound if you were playing your trumpet. But, I always say, no one can play that trumpet like you. Honestly speaking, I haven't heard anyone come close to your playing. You have one distinct sound that noone can replace.
Missing you and your great sounds, but I know you are playing with Jesus.
Rest on Bro. Mullins, Rest on!

My heart and prayers goes out to the Mullins family for I know how much Mr. Mullins meanth to each and every one of you. Not only did Mr. Mullins loved his family unconditionally, he reached out and loved many people outside his own family. As a nieghbor, he always had a smile or laughter when he stopped to talk. Many times Mr. Mullins could make bad days good days by simple conversation. It is truely hard to believe he is gone...but I know he's playing trumpet in the first seat in heaven. I am truely greatful to have met Mr. Mullins in my life for he provided my daughter with her first clarinet and music lessons.
God Bless the Donald Mullins family during these sad times and help them cope with the tremedous lost of thier husband, father, and friend.

As I read these entries on Christmas morning, I am both reminded of my family's deep loss, but so thankful that we had such a wonderful father. It is hard to describe the void created when we he left here, but we continue to trust God, pray for his strength and continue his legacy for the next generation of Mullins children. Thanks to all of you for your kind words and outpouring of support - it has been sustaining. God Bless You...Don Mullins, Jr.

I remember Don Mullins from WUFO in Buffalo. Always smiling, and putting up with my crazy advertisements for disco's and my tire store, Copeland Tires. The man never said "no" to me. I owe so much to him, and know that he is at peace. Love to the family.

Dear Mullins Family,
This morning I opened the newspaper and read about the death of Don.
Words can't express my sorrow. Don was dear to me in more ways than anyone will ever know.
He was inspiring. He always listened and cared. No one will replace him. I spoke with him at length on November 18, 2003. He was happy with life.
I am so sorry I was unable to attend the funeral. I will be in contact.
With Deep Sympathy,
Claudine Ewing

Our hearts are sadden to hear of the passing of your Loved One, Mr. Mullins. We had only known him for a short time, but was touched by his kind and gentle spirit. We will never forget the blessing we received each time he played the trumpet with so much passion and conviction.
May God comfort you and may it help ease the pain by knowing so many were touched by his presence and he will never be forgotten.

Mrs. Mullins and Family,
We were so sadden and shocked to hear of your loss. You have our deepest sympathy.
Mr. Mullins will be sorely missed by all whose life he touched. He was such an inspiration and blessing to the Mt. Sinai Church family. I will always remember our practicing to play "How Great Thou Art" together. We never got the chance to do so in church but the memory of the practices will be with me forever.
May God continue to give you strength.

I met Don when I was working @ Winn Dixie in Southgate Plaza over on Beach Blvd some 15 odd years ago. He was one of my favorite customers. Don always came in with a friendly smile. Who could have a bad day after experiencing one of Don¡¦s refreshing smiles? He always spoke highly of his family & you all are truly blessed to have had him in your lives. He was just like a father to me & I respected him to the highest. He would always tell me to watch Greg when he came in to the store and make sure that he didn¡¦t by stuff that he wasn¡¦t supposed to have. ƒº He also played a few times @ my church & it was always an enjoyable performance. I am really & truly going to miss my dear friend. My prayers are with you all. Cry today if you must but joy, comes in the morning. Lean on God for all your strength.

To Mrs. Mullins and Children,
Mr. Mullins quickly became a very dear friend, counselor, brother. We bonded musically. I became fascinated with knowing his lovely family, a most christian like family very genuine in spirit. Accompanying Mr. Mullins on the the piano was one of the most spectacular highlights of my life. Mr. Mullins was introduced to me by Sister Altamese Roberts / He was the special guest artist at St. Stephen. I accompanied Him on numerous occasions. Mr. Mullins called me upon my arrival home from my most recent surgery. His words were so clear to me "We have to live one day at a time Bro. Jones" and "I am praying for a speedy recovery for you. Mrs. Mullins and family, You have my prayers that the Lord would continue to shower you with those precious and numerous memories of a life well run--Mr. Don Mullins Sr.
