Dear Sandy and Family,

We will certainly miss Elbert very much. What a gentleman he was, always kind and smiling. The world just can't afford to lose one like him. The highest praise I(Jane) can give him is that he reminded me so much of my Daddy.

You all are in our thoughts and prayers and we will always remember him with love.

There are no words to express the sorrow that your friends and family feel for you. Just know that everyone is here for you in this time of need. No amount of family or friends can fill your heart and mind with the comfort, love, laughter and joy as Bert has for so many years. But, because we all care for you, we sure will try.

My seventy year friendship with Bert began in grammar school. We shared many good boyhood days together but lost track of each other after high school. I'm grateful to have renewed our acquaintance in later years, and will fondly remember him. Sincere sympathy is extended to Bert's entire family.
