Eunice Johnson McCaulie

1923 - 2015

McCAULIE Eunice Johnson McCaulie, born March 23, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 29, 2015. She was 92 years of age. She was the daughter of John W. and Arvilla Blanche Johnson. Her husband of 68 years, William (Bill) T. McCaulie, Col. USAF (ret) passed away on March 7, 2013. Mrs. McCaulie attended Baker University, Baldwin, KS, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and was active in the alumnae chapter here in Jacksonville serving as local President for several years. She was an active volunteer for many years serving the Duval County Hospital, the PTA, the Boy Scouts of America and the Ortega United Methodist Church as a Sunday School teacher, Administrative Board member and was twice the president of the United Methodist Women. She served four years as trustee and was president of the Garden Club of Jacksonville from 1998 - 2001, having been a member of the Ginger Garden Circle since 1953. Her personal interests included sewing, arts and crafts, gardening and floral design. She and Bill enjoyed traveling and hiking in the North Carolina mountains. She is survived by her two sons, Judge W. Gregg McCaulie (Terri), Neptune Beach, FL, and Dr. John R. McCaulie (Grace Ann), Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; four grandchildren, William Brandon McCaulie, Mason Merrill McCaulie, Dr. Joan McCaulie and Margaret Ann McCaulie; one great grandchild, Zoe McCaulie; nephew, Thomas Morgan (Brenda), Phoenix, AZ and Mrs. Victor Morgan, Lincoln, CA.
