Gladys Thomas Obituary

THOMAS Funeral services for Gladys Rowe Dickerson Thomas, 84, who passed away on August 16, 2012, will be held Wednesday at 11:30 AM from the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery (Gate #6) with Jeffrey Crews officiating. The family will receive family and friends Wednesday from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM prior to service at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Mrs. Thomas was born in Berrien County, GA resided in Jacksonville, FL for 52 years and has been a resident of Middleburg, FL since 1993. She had retired from St. Lukes Hospital/Mayo Clinic after many years of service and was a member of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, James D. Dickerson and Johnnie Thomas, her husband of 35 years, daughter, Margaret Thomas and grandson Clayton D. Dickerson, Jr. Survivors include her 3 daughters, Janice Dickerson Scites (Jim), Betty Thomas Watson, and Karen Thomas Blackburn (Frank); 4 sons, Clayton Buddy Dickerson, Billy Harold Dickerson (Nancy), Alfred D. Dickerson (Liz), and John Thomas (Diana); 3 sisters, Betty Rowe Rimmer (Johnny), Hilda Rowe Bennett (Bob), and Elizabeth Rowe Carey; 1 brother, J. E. Rowe (Jan); 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
