Harold Chafin Obituary
Harold Richard Chafin or "Richie" to his family and friends, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on February 1, 2021. Richie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lisa Haley Chafin. Richie has three children Jason Bryan Chafin (Jessica), Haley Chafin Robison (Seth), and Harrison Richard Chafin (McKynlie) and was a "Papa" to five beautiful grandchildren Hannah, Connor, Dean, Ray, and Jack.
Richie was born on October 27, 1950 in Dublin, Georgia to Elizabeth Wilkes Mayfield and C.B. Chafin. Richie received his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia and had a long and satisfying career in pharmacy for over 40 years. Richie's greatest love, outside of his family, was the Georgia Bulldogs. He was a season ticket holder and did not miss watching the Dawgs between the hedges for nearly 30 years. Richie also loved to cook and travel. Richie never met a stranger and was known for his Southern charm and witty sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial will be held later this year to honor Richie and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, a gift in Richie's honor can be made to the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy Enhancement Fund (gail.uga.edu).
