Harry Shepherd Obituary

SHEPHERD Harry Joseph Shepherd, age 83, was called home Wednesday September 24, 2008. He was a native of Green Cove Springs, Florida; he lived most of his life in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Moniac, Georgia in 2002. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a Seaman 1st Class through World War II in the Coast Guard. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Temple in Macclenny, FL. Family members include his wife of 37 years; Mary Jewell Shepherd; his daughters: Beverly (Mike) Silvers, Mary Jo (David) Woods, Barbara (Carlton) Sturdivant; sons: Joe Shepherd, Bill Shepherd; brother: Bill and Vivian Shepherd; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on September 27, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Temple in Macclenny, FL. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation on September 26, 2008 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the funeral home. The arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
