Jacob Nyenhuis Obituary

NYENHUIS Jacob J. Nyenhuis, 18, went to his heavenly home Sunday, September 24, 2006 after a traffic accident near Greensboro, Georgia. Jacob was born in Jacksonville FL to Michael and Sandy Nyenhuis and lived the past ten years on St. Simons Island. He attended Glynn Academy where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the Beta Club. His classmates voted Jacob "Most Likely to Succeed". Upon graduation with honors this year he earned the President's Award for Educational Excellence. He was a member of St. Simons United Methodist Church. Jacob was a freshman at the University of Georgia. Family members other than his parents, Michael and Sandy of St. Simons Island include one sister, Raleigh Nyenhuis, St. Simons Island; maternal grandparents, Patricia Herrmann, New Berlin, Wisconsin, and Don Stielow, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and paternal grandparents, Jack and Carol Nyenhuis of Hudson, Wisconsin. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at theSt. Simons United Methodist Church with the Reverends Jay Hanson, Jim Smith, and Andy Lamon officiating. The family wishes this to be a celebration of Jacob's life and faith in the Lord, and would like to request that those attending dress bright and casual. Jacob lived knowing he was loved by God, his family, and his friends. Memorials may be made to the St. Simons United Methodist Church, 624 Ocean Blvd., St. Simons Island, GA 31522.
