Jacob Ulrich Obituary

ULRICH Jacob (Jack) Ulrich, 83, passed away February 21, 2008, at Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach. A native of New Jersey, he joined the Navy in 1943, retiring at Naval Station Mayport in 1970 as a Master Chief. On August 19, 1945, he married Dorothy McLeester who preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Angelo Giaimo; sisters, Jane Mears and Bette TreLoar; brothers, William and Paul Schober, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday (today), February 22nd, in the chapel of Quinn-Shalz, A Family Funeral Home with full military honors at 6:15 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23rd, at St. Paul's By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Jacksonville Beach with the Reverend Penny Pfab officiating. Interment will take place at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Safe Harbor Boys Home, 4772 Safe Harbor Way, Jacksonville, FL 32226.
