Janet Norris Higdon

HIGDON Ms. Janet Norris Higdon passed away peacefully on March 18, 2016 in a local hospital. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, she received her education in the local public schools of Duval County. Ms. Higdon was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mrs. Ruth Adams Norris; sister, Ms. Margaret Norris and brothers, Bruce and Eugene Norris. Survivors include her husband, Elijah Higdon; daughters, Mses. Stephanie Norris (Castro), Juwana Norris Broadus (Michael), Cherri Norris (Royce), Audrey Norris Ponder (Tyrone, Sr.) and Guanda Norris; son, Eddie Norris; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 7 brothers; a number of other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Ms. Higdon will be held 11AM, SATURDAY, March 26, 2016 at Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she held membership, with Dr. Robert Herring, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Ms. Higdon will rest in the Master's Touch Ministry, 4510 Soutel Dr. for visitation FRIDAY from 5PM until 8PM and at her church Saturday from 9AM until the hour of service.
