It's amazing how fast time goes by. I visit Jason every morning before the sun comes up at the beautiful Cemetery at St Joseph's to do my morning prayers. He will always be my best friend. He was there when I needed him most, and he still is. So many wonderful memories. Scouts, flag football, neighborhood parties, Kairos weekends, and the list goes on and on. I'll never forget our golf outing with his two boys Chris and Brian. Fast and Furious was popular that year. Jason Let Brian Drive the cart, and it ended up in a pond. We ended up having to get someone pull it out of the pond. Another great memory was when he watched our animals one weekend when we went on vacation. The dog ran between his legs and got out the front door, the cats were going crazy running all over the house as well. I think Jason spent over an hour getting the dog back in the house. His passion for his family, his church, and the Kairos program made a lasting impression on me. May God bless you Jason. Thank you for being there for me always, especially when I needed you most. Rest in peace my brother. I love you.

Hey Unc, I think of you often. I can't tell you how much you mean to me. Growing up when you were coming over to our house it was like a holiday (I knew there would be good food, great laughs and an overall awesome time, and most times an offering of samples from Camelot Music. You made a serious impression on my life I hope I can be as good of an Uncle to my nephews as you were to me. I am grateful to have known you as well as I did. My daughter talks about you all the time and how funny you were, if she only knew. I love you and appreciate all the memories we have. (Bush Gardens double date, my first concert Sting, Watching Dark side of the rainbow, go cart racing, pie-ing peoples face) Thanks

Our music group needed a drummer for its Kairos-like music event at UCI this past January. Without hesitation, I picked Jason to play. This was without a try-out or even listening to him drum against the chair. The show went on, Jason was just GREAT as a drummer and I never doubted his music or energy again. While he preferred being called a "percussionist" instead, I learned that Jason drummed all the time, on chairs, table tops, car panels, anything that came along. His Energy and humor were infectious, and I will miss him greatly.

I once shared with Jason that I read one chapter from the book of Proverbs each day. There are 31 chapters so I read the chapter for the day of the month. The next time I saw him he said that he started doing the same, and on the 30th, Proverbs 30: 7-9 had a profound effect on him. He was between jobs at the time and wanted to make money, but not too much, because it scared him that he would ever feel like he didn't need God. I believe he lived his life by these verses.
7Two things I ask of you, LORD;
do not refuse me before I die:
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, Who is the LORD?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.
I don't believe Jason has anything to worry about.
God bless all of his family and friends who miss him.

Linda I am so sorry for your loss. The funeral mass today was so beautiful and a great testimony to all the lives Jason touched. I am sorry didnt get to talk with you. Jason was so special and loved all the special moments we had. We will surely miss him so much. His candle burned out way to soon. But so blessed to have been a part of his life. I have a picture of the Blessed Mother he gave me a long time ago that the a prisioner he ministered to drew and he wanted me to have it. I will cherish it even more now. I was blessed to make rosarys for him to take to them. He will be forever in my heart and we will meet again. Heaven is having a great time with him, I can just picture it. My prayers are with you and your family. Love you Sue ♥

Linda and family, so sorry for the loss of Jason. He was my grandsons first t-Ball coach and was great with the kids. Ahe always had a smile at church when I would see him and always managed to make me smile when I would see him after my husband passed away. He will be missed by all of us but we all have another special angel watching over us. Prayers are with all of you.

My condolences to Jason's family and friends, especially Linda, Chris, and Brian, on his unexpected passing. It was a pleasure to have known Jason and been able to share his passion for music. He was easy-going, fun-loving, and always had a smile on his face. I learned as much from him about being a good person as I did about music during our time together in the band and I will always cherish those wonderful memories.

Jason was a wonderful, funny, joyful person everytime we would see him Tom and Jason would relive a Three stooges episode. They could turn a Three Stooges episode into a life teaching message. Ah so they said. Jason is with God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit maybe smoking a cigar and getting to really understand the Truth. I know the Lord is very pleased with Jason's work on earth. We love him and pray for his soul and Linda and the boys as they deal with their loss of a wonderful Dad and husband.

I have known Jason only for the past few years thru his ministry on the Baker Kairos team. His joyful spirit was quite infectious. He would get up and dance with or without music. To my friend Jason. I really don't know where to begin. Friends like you just don't come around every day. Friends like you are a once-in-a-lifetime gift. You were just always there. To share my joy and to share my pain. To laugh with me and to cry with me. But mainly just to be there for me. I will never forget coming to you when I was really struggling. I just needed someone to talk to. I just needed someone to listen. You would listen. And then you would close your eyes and take a deep breath. And then you would sigh. You would open your eyes again and just smile. You would say what I really needed to hear. Friends like that just don't happen by accident. Memories. I have so many. Coaching the kids in flag football. Working with them in Scouts. Sharing the prison ministry with you. You never could throw a football. You never were much of a camper. But none of that matters. You were simply always there. Doing what you did best. Making people laugh and smile. Making people realize the value of a true friend. I will never forget when we asked you to watch our dogs when we were out of town. I so wish I had a video of that. The way you described it kept me laughing for years. Thank you my brother for showing me what life really is all about. I just cannot say goodbye. All I can say is that I cannot wait to see you again. I sure hope the angels and Saints have a sense of humor. Heaven will never be the same. Rest easy my friend. I love you.

Linda and family, we are so sad that God called Jason home when we so wanted him with us! He always had a smile, a big hug and great stories to tell which we loved to hear ! We saw him at Winn Dixie when hurricane Mathew was coming and he told us excitedly about a death row prisoner he was praying with and the prisoner was with peace with his life and believed in Jesus and all of sudden his shackles opened around his ankles!!!! Jason in our eyes is a saint and a holy man and we will miss him beyond words! Until we meet again Jason, love you!

Linda, Chris, and Brian, You will get through this as your husband and dad gave you The Way. God bless you! I still chuckle at his saying that the wine ran out at Cana when the 12 Apostles showed up. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go to you and your family! Mr Roy was our favorite customer at Dollar General in Macclenny. He came in almost everyday and got a Smooth Cigar and we nicknamed him Mr. Smooth. No matter what kind of day we were having he always made us smile and had nice things to say to us. He loved that Grandbaby of his to the moon and back. He also loved his wife and family always sharing nice things about all of you. Mr. Smooth was a wonderful gentleman and we will miss him terribly as we know you will as well. Please know that you are all in our prayers . Rest In Peace Mr. Smooth!Chyrel Bowen, Manager, Jennifer Hill, Asst. Manager and Staff of Dollar General

God Bless you Deacon Roy. Though we spoke only briefly over phone on the 23rd as we prepared to meet you and hear about your ministry, it was beautiful to hear your dedication and compassion for those you serve in the prisons. Your bountiful goodness seems to me to be obvious from that call. We are sadden that we will have to wait longer than expected to meet you. Pray for us, we are praying for you.

Dear Linda, Chris and Brian. We were shocked and saddened to learn that Jason is gone. We can only send our heartfelt sympathies during this difficult time. We will remember Jason's spirit, not only with his passion for his ministry, but also his passion for life, for music (drumming on stage at Monks), and his passion for helping. We will always be thankful for his help with Dylan's Eagle Scout project (Mr. Concrete). And the fun stuff too - like the hair growing competition he once had with Dylan (we're still not really sure who won). And we will remember all the times standing in the driveway talking when we would walk in the neighborhood. He was always up for a conversation. We will dearly miss him. Hugs to you and the boys. Dear Linda, Christopher and Brian,
No words, just prayers. What a wonderful husband and father you were blessed with. What love he had for his family. Anytime I would run into him he always gave me a warm hug and genuinely asked how my family was doing. I know when he said he was praying for someone, he truly was. May his soul rest in peace and may his prayers continue in Heaven for us left behind. God Bless your family, and especially your new addition and know that your husband and dad's love will forever be with you. xoxo Jeanne Coster and family
