Losing a parent is such a great loss. We did not know your father, but we know his son, so he must have been a good man. We will be keeping your family in our prayers during your time of sorrow and always.

To the Spates Family,
Mr. Spates was a warm and lovely man who always spoke with great love for his wife and family. He came to visit us at McDonalds everyday. He always came in with a smile on his face and a kind word that made a bad day turn into a good one. He always asked about my family. He never had a harsh word about anyone. He will be greatly missed at the Roosevelt McDonalds.
We always looked forword to his daily visits.

Mrs. C. Spates & Family:
My prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. Cherish your memories of your loved one and remember God is too wise to make a mistake.
Byron
I know you are hurting and not much can be said to ease your pain. I pray you will find confort in knowing that your grandfather is with God. I hope you can receive confort from these words:
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
Psalms 116:15
God Bless you all,
Nita Moses-McNish

To The Spates Family..My deepest sympathy to you all..I have known you all since my childhood, growing up on Powhattan Street..My God needed a flower for his garden none like Elder Spates so he decided to pick him and bring him to his eternal rest. Sleep on old soldier for I do know Elder Spates is just another one of God's solider gone home..For Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11 Chapter verses 25 and 26. To Jackie, Janice, Jerome and Van take care of mom, Hold mom up, God knows just how much his childern can bear.Ms Cnettie, I still remember you and I know you know that Elder Spates work was done down here and now he is just waiting on the other side.. Love you all ....Margaret Burnett Cummings..one of The Burnett Clan from 1219 Powhattan Street...
