Joseph Orio Obituary

ORIO Joseph L. Orio, Jr. died Saturday (1/19) at Home. He was 48. Born in Long Branch, he lived for 15 years in Jacksonville , Fl prior to moving to Holmdel, NJ 5 years ago He worked for 2 years as a Landscape Supervisor for Ranney School, Tinton Falls, NJ Mr. Orio also owned and operated Joe's Sports Cards, Mandarin, FL for 5 years. He loved Umpiring and did so for over 20 years for the Marlboro Little League, NJ and Julington Creek Little League, FL. Loved to Bass fish, and was a member of the Jacksonville, FL BassMasters. He was also a member of the YMCA Indian Guides and Princesses, Jacksonville, FL where he was known as the Flying Fish. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Jane Orio Survivng are his children, Matthew and Nicole Orio, 1st Wife, Beverly Walker, brothers, Brian and Frank Orio, sister Laurette Yencarelli, and his fiancŽ, Barbara Cooley, and her children Daniel and Grace. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral service will be offered Tuesday evening at 8:00PM in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mr. Orio's memory to the Marlboro Little League. Information on where to send donations will be available at the Funeral Home.
