Joshua Dupree Obituary

DUPREE Joshua Andrew Dupree was born February 23, 1983 and died age 33 on July 5, 2016. He resided at 2223 Astor Street in Orange Park. He was educated at Grace Episcopal School, St Johns Country Day School and Orange Park High School all in Orange Park. He attended Kennesaw State University in Georgia and at the time of his death he was studying for a degree at Phoenix University. While a full-time student Josh worked part-time at his father's Dupree Insurance Agency in Jacksonville. Josh attended Grace Episcopal Church in Orange Park and volunteered for a number of local charities involved in feeding and housing the homeless. Josh could be both quiet and gregarious and made many friendships with his warm personality and his great sense of humor. His friends and family who loved him dearly miss him sorely. He is survived by his parents Daniel Keith Dupree and Deborah Caroline Dupree, nee Barrett of Orange Park; his sister Stephanie Caroline Dupree of Orange Park; his maternal grandmother Donna Barrett of Jacksonville; his aunt Diane Stevens, nee Barrett; his uncle Brian Barrett; his uncle Michael Barrett and his uncle the Rev. Douglas Dupree, all also local to Jacksonville and Orange Park. His many cousins close to his age also miss him dearly. The funeral will take place at Grace Episcopal Church, 245 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, Florida on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2pm followed by a reception in the church. Everyone is very welcome to attend the service and reception. The officiating ministers are the Rev. Douglas Dupree, the Rev. Kedron Nicholson and the Rev. Celeste Tisdelle. It is with such a heavy heart that I send my condolences. I remember Josh's sweet little 6 year old face when I taught him in the first grade at St. Johns. He was bright, lively, and fun-loving. Clearly he will be deeply missed by family and friends. You have my sympathy and prayers at this most difficult of times.
