Julian Leonard Obituary

LEONARD Julian Francis Leonard, age 81, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004 at his home. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Leonard of Fernandina Beach, Florida. He was born and reared in Jacksonville where he attended local schools. After graduating from Lee High School and working briefly with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he enlisted in the Army Air Force serving on the Italian front during World War II. After returning home, he attended the University of Florida. Upon receiving his law degree, he returned to Jacksonville and practiced law for over fifty years. He was a member of Gardenview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of forty- five years, Tommie Christina, and many nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gardenview Baptist Church, 1939 Belevedere St. with Reverend Doyle Harper officiating. Visitation will be Monday, July 26 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. COREY- KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gardenview Baptsit Church, Building Fund, 1939 Belevedere St., Jacksonville 32208 or Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd.
