I worked under LT Karl Nitschke for 2 years while aboard the USS FD Roosevelt (CVA-42) as a junior officer. Karl taught me a great many things about the Navy and Life. Karl, I'm sorry to hear of your passing. I was back down in Mayport on assignment after 40 years as an Engineer in North and South Carolina and was hoping to look You up. I'm sorry to have missed You. You taught me much. I will remember you well.
So long for know Karl.

Karl & I were good friends in Haverstraw High School. I knew he went into the navy and then unfortunately lost track of him. He was a good and talented friend. My best to his family.

Karl was a great guy and I enjoyed working with him at Verizon Wireless for 12 years. We began within a week of each other and retired about the same time. RIP

Ann, I just found out, I was checking the Londonderry Freeservers site, and noticed his notice. If there is ANYTHING that I could do, please do not hesitate to ask.
I am sure that he is resting in a nicer place, as he was to good man.
