Ken Smedley Obituary
Ken Smedley of Switzerland, FL, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 9, 2019. Ken loved tinkering in his workshop, working in his yard and garden, and never went anywhere without his faithful four-legged companions, Ji and Rocky. He loved getting out on the river in his boat, wading at the sandbar with his pups, and having a cold one with anyone that walked through his open door. Ken is survived by his wife, Sharon; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Chrissy Smedley; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lindsey Smedley; and sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Alan Teague. Ken was a good husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor, and will be missed by many. The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support from his family and friends.

I was sitting watching T V and Butch suddenly came to my mind. I grew up with Butch (as he was called back then), Sally, and their parents. I lived in the house next door to the trailer park(Vagabond) in northwest Orlando. I was younger than Butch but he used to let me play basketball with him in our front yard and we swam in lake Fairview every day. He was a great guy. I am sure he considered my a little pest but he was always nice to me and I still remember the many great times we had. I still live in the same house I lived in back then. My parents have passed away and I am now a widow but the property is very special to me. The trailer park is still there. It is not nearly as nice as when Jack owned it but it still brings back good memories of the forties, fifties and sixties.
My prayers go out to Sally and Alan who I have wonderful memories of. Sally with her red hair and Alan playing with me on the raft in the lake. I hope all of you have had a happy life.
