Larry Sweat Obituary

SWEAT Larry Delain Sweat - He was born January 10,1948, in Waycross, GA, to the late James and Rosena Sweat. He died on June 16, 2016. He was a resident of Jacksonville for most of his life and a member of the Highlands Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he served as an elder. Larry worked as an electrician in the IBEW for 45 years, including the Tennessee Valley Authority for 5 years. He retired in August 2014, from Chrysler Jeep Dodge where he worked in maintenance. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Audrey and Margaret. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Rhodes Sweat of 44 years, their 5 children (Brian Sweat, Marcia Ece, Lauren Haynes, Sonny McDowell, Sherr McNee and their spouses), his sister Shirley Thomas, his brother James T. Sweat Jr. and his wife along with a grandson, nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held at the Fort Caroline Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9358 Fort Caroline Rd, Jacksonville FL 32225, on Saturday, June 18, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses (jw.org) or Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
