Mary,

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Huntley was a kind, gentle man and I know your life will have a different meaning without him, but the memories of your life with him will never leave you.

When I first started freelance writing years ago, he was one of the first people in Clay County that I profiled, and he was so gracious to this novice writer. I still have the article in my portfolio.

May the love you had for each other sustain you through your time of grief.

Mrs. Huntley, Frank, Edith and Ward, I'm sorry about your loss. Mr. Huntley's presence was much larger than that of most, large enough so that I know this transition will present more challenges than are typical. Even so, it is evident that the legacy of family loyalty and support he engendered will provide you all with the strength to navigate these challenges successfully.

Dear Mary and Family,

We were so fortunate to have known Louis, and still fortunate to know you. You both are a team that is an inspiration and a role model to other families, church friends, and P.E.O. sisters. He was a gracious and thoughtful host when we were in your home. Many persons of his influence could learn from his generosity, humility before God, his love for his family and his loyalty to his church. He was truly a great man. You are still a team, as he is still with you, and is watching over you and your family. We will see him someday again. I'll always remember his genuine smile.

We send our love and prayers to Mary and all the family. Louis was one of our favorite people. We appreciate his involvement on the Board with Penney Retirement Community and the generosity of both of you in sharing your home in so many ways. We will not be able to come to visitation or to the memorial service because we will be in Kentucky. May God comfort you with His promises and with the assurance that Louis is in the eternal presence of God and his suffering is over. Our love and prayers. Betty Jane and Noel White
