Michael and I were classmates through grade school and shared many interests and a long friendship. Mrs. Bissell recommended me for my first summer job as a college student in the 60's. The Group Gallery (Taylor Hardwick and Jackie Mullikin) had an "annex" at the PVClub where I sold art to Inn guests. Mrs. B. encouraged me as a student and teacher of art and art history. When I was raising four sons she advised me as a mother of men. I am grateful and treasure memories of our relationship. Condolences to all the family of a truly Grande Dame.

My deepest sympathies to the Bissell family. I worked for Mrs. Bissell many years ago at the Shop for Papagallo and knew her as a kind, caring woman of character. She made a profound impression on me and I am truly greatful.
