MARIE DUHART Obituary

DUHART Marie Starling Duhart was a belated Christmas gift on December 27, 1911, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Eliza Brown Starling. Their home was blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl whom they named Marie Starling. She was the eldest of three other siblings, whom she raised. Later in life through holy matrimony became Marie Starling Duhart. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Ashberry African Methodist Episcopal Church. She along with other delegates moved to New Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church where she continued her faithful service and was ordained as a Deaconess. She was employed at Baptist Medical Center as a Nurse, and also an entrepreneur, from which she retired. The Lord peacefully called her home on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 after He graced Deaconess Starling Duhart with 101.6 years. Her earthly assignment was done; she discarded her body of clay, and her soul took flight to her Heavenly home, Mission Completed, Good and Faithful Servant. She was preceded in death by her only son, Joseph Nathan Lawrence, and her siblings. She leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories a devoted, Grandson and care-taker Joseph Nathan Williams (Vickie), Jr.; Eight Great-Grands Joseph Nathan Williams III, Serina Edwards (Kelvin) of Enterprise, Al., Romero Williams, Victoria Williams Lee (Tyvonn), Geann Porter, Alphonzo Carter, Clifford Tolvert and Tameika Porter all of Columbus, Ga.; Nine Great-Great Grands Shontrell Gordon, Joseph Nathan Williams IV of Jacksonville, Fl., Ajhazia McKenzie, Nakira McKenzie of Enterprise, Al.; JaWawn Cooper, Jarvis Williams, Tyran Williams of Jacksonville, Fl., Kashad Edwards of Enterprise, Al. and Makayla Lee of Columbus, Ga.; Nieces Helen Johnson of Tallahassee, Fl., Gladys Anderson (Larry) of Indianapolis, IN, Carrie McQuay of Tampa, Fl., Gertrude Britton and Angelina Jenkins (Melvin) of Jacksonville, Fl.; Nephews James Johnson of Washington, D.C. and Charles Johnson of Tallahassee, Fl.; Great-Nieces Andrea (Cricket) Snell of Jacksonville, Fl., Carissa McQuay, Carrian McQuay and Tiffany Johnson all of Tampa, Fl.; Great-Nephews David Tim McQuay and James McQuay of Tampa, Fl. and Andrew Snell of Jacksonville, Fl.; Dora Marie Kite (Frosty) her god-daughter, and a host of other family members and friends.
