Myrtice HOLLINGSWORTH Obituary

HOLLINGSWORTH Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com Myrtice Dillard Hollingsworth, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Hickory, NC, on January 10, 1933 to Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Dillard. The family moved to Jacksonville in 1934. Myrtice is a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. She had a long career in the medical field at St. Vincent's Hospital and later retired from working for the late Dr. William Garoni. Myrtice was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, where she was a member of the choir for many years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Storch, who passed away in 1962 of cerebral palsy. Myrtice is survived by her sister, Catherine Burnett of Interlachen, FL, whose children were like her own; nephew, Bruce Burnett, Jonesboro, GA; and five nieces, Marcia Walt, Cleveland, MS; Brenda Pictor, Marietta, GA; Terri Goodwin, Titusville FL; Jennifer Milam, St. John's, FL; and Jessica Taylor of Green Cove Springs, FL; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL, 32073, (904) 264-1233, is serving the family.
