Nannie Bailey Obituary

BAILEY Nannie O. Bailey, 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2007. She was born on November 8, 1922 in Mobile, AL to parents, Burle and Frankie Bohannon. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. We celebrate with her as she enters God's Kingdom. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed Gospel music and will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J.T. Bailey, her son, Larry J. Bailey and a daughter, Judy B. Hunton. Survivors include her daughters, Linda J. Bailey and Juanita B. Green (Lonnie); sister, Inez Satterfield (J.B.); 21 grandchildren; many more great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, July 2, 2007 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in the Chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home with Reverend Timothy Nelson officiating. Entombment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or the American Cancer Society, 1430 Prudential Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32207. Gramdma, I love u so much but I know you had to go so you could take care of my mama and watch over her. With her being so young and your baby you knew she needed you I know she and you are in the best place and hands possible, but i know you will make sure she is ok no matter what cause 10 days apart let's me know you were waiting on her I miss you and her more then i can express but your reasons help me to deal with it Thank You for all you did for me all my life and Thank You for what your doing for me now I could not ask for a better grandma. I LOVE AND WILL MISS YOU.
