Oliver Horne Obituary

HORNE Mr. Oliver Neal Horne, age 57, of Lake City, Fla. died August 31, 2002. He was born in Jacksonville, Fla. and grew up in the Taylor Community of Baker County, Fla. and lived in Whitehouse, Fla., before moving to Lake City in 1985. He was the son of the late Ollie Gracie Marcum Horne and worked as the Business Agent for Painters Local Union #164 of Jacksonville for 24 years until his retirement in 1994. He also was owner of Neils Truckin of Lake City, Fla. for the past eight years. He was a member of the Sugar Branch Hunting Club of Clinch County, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Durenda Horne of Lake City, Fla.; Two sons, Tommy (Valarie) Horne of Sanderson, Fla. and Ricky (Amy) Horne of Taylor, Fla.; three grandchildren, Bradley Neal Horne of Jacksonville, Fla., Amberly Horne and Allene Horne both of Taylor,, Fla.; Two sisters, Olivia Crawford of Taylor, Fla. and Marlena Crews of Jacksonville, Fla.; Two brothers, Cecil Horne of Glen St. Mary, Fla. and Steve Horne of Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. W ednesday, September 4, in the Chapel of Gurrey Funeral Home, Lake City, Fla. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Lake City, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 4309 South First Street, Lake City, Fla. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
