Paul Gross Obituary

GROSS Paul J. Gross departed this life on Sunday, July 14th, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Juanita Hill-Gross and the following adult children. Paul Gross, III, (Karen) and Sandra Owens, both of Jacksonville. Stepchildren surviving are The Rev. Mike Farrell (Yvonne) from Sarasota, Richard (Charlene) Farrell from Atlanta, and Jimmy (Jacque) Farrell from Jacksonville. Surviving grandchildren are Kristy and Jerry Horn, Christopher Farrell, Amanda Farrell, Amy and Joseph Farrell, Kenny (Christine) Farrell and Aaron (Ginger) Farrell. Great grandchildren are Destiny, Desiree, Heather, Jamie and Christian Farrell. Mr. Gross is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Attebery and Ruth McNabb along with sister-in-law Myrtle Bundy and brother-in-law Carl Belcher. Pat Thorpe from Seattle is a surviving niece. Predeceasing Mr. Gross were his son Terrell and granddaughter Tamala. Mr. Gross was born July 22, 1929 in Harvey (Chicago) Illinois and spent most of his life in Jacksonville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army (Korea), long time member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Arlington and worked until retirement from St. Regis Paper Company. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran, 6801 Merrill Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to the American Cancer Society or St. Mattews Lutheran. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
