Maas, I miss you man. We had a heck of a ride for 3 years. Drinking Bacardi in San Juan, falling off curbs in France, kicking the officers out of CIC so we could do our jobs, and running 36 hours shifts together backloading troops and equiptment. I have been places with you I will never see again, seen things with you I will never see again, and done things that I will never do again (and probably should not have done the first time). You saved my butt more times than I can remember and you owe me a few yourself. What a time we had. It shaped us and is a huge part of how we "grew up". One of the last things you said to me was "I got your back", some things never change. I have lost two of my three brothers, but I feel like I have lost another one. Forty two years is a long time, but I remember us like it was yesterday, I know you did also. I love you man, save me a seat at the bar.

Rich had such a gentle soul, yet fought such a courageous and valiant battle. I will always remember him with great respect and fondness. My heartfelt condolences to April, Jimmy and Wes and the entire family. Rich will be sorely missed but will certainly live on in the hearts of so many.

For years we have been praying for miraculous healing for Rich, and God gave him months passed the time they expected him to live. We are so grieved by this loss, but rejoicing that Rich is now cancer free in heaven with our Savior. He was a fighter, a warrior, a miracle himself.

We loved listening to his stories from being in the Navy and living in other places to raising Jimmy and Wes and spending time with his grandkids. He was the perfect baby whisperer and loved Titus and Phoebe as his own. I'm so thankful for the dinners we had with your family, the love shared and the fun had.

We will continue to pray for you that you would be comforted through this time, April, Jimmy, Wes, Ali, Emerson, and Nora.

God is with you

Love,
Richard, Daizzee, Titus & Phoebe

The best brother-in-law a person could ask for. He never treated me or mom like an in-law. He was always there for everyone. A great man that my children always looked up to. Rest with no PAIN RICH.
