Robert Chin Obituary

CHIN On May 4, 2016, Dr. Robert Chin, MD. (M.A.), Ph.D., C.A., peacefully passed away at his residence in Fleming Island, FL, with his loving wife Anna Marie by his side. Dr. Chin practiced medicine for over 30 years. He was a member of educational and research centers all over the world, including Korea and Japan Clinic Research Center, The University of Oriental Studies in California and in Copenhagen, Denmark, and had degrees in Traditional Medicine, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. He settled in Orange Park, FL, because of his interest in geriatrics. He felt that there is a great need among our aged for a better understanding of physical fitness and spiritual well being. His selfless devotion for his profession gave him the desire to help patients of all ages achieve a state of wellness. He was kind, generous and caring. He had a lot to give and he gave it all. As a doctor, many benefited from his wisdom and hard work. Dr. Chin was also a Certified Grand Master of Martial Arts (Hap Kido) and skilled in the Dan Jung breathing technique. He was a much sought-after speaker on many topics. We wish to thank Haven Hospice for their support and loving care. We also want to thank friends who offered prayers. Above all, Glory Be to God.

It was an honor to know, love and appreciate Dr. Chin who was my precious healer from 2002 forward.
Because, I brought my young daughter along to my appointments, we would talk about Daniel who was only a few years older than she. It was easy to see the great love he had and expressed for Daniel, he truly loved his son, but was never one to be brash or pushy to anyone. He would never have made any step that would cause anyone discomfort, as comforting others was his gift.
I am truly thankful for his gift of warmth, kindness, wisdom, sharing, patience, understanding, a gentle word and healing touch from Robert.
He was a wonderful healer, who actually listened to his patients, and performed a thorough examination of their abilities before treating them. Usually to our amazement. May his legacy live on.
He was our gift from the Creator, and is now sharing eternity with Him.
Thank you God for each and every one of your precious blessings and healing touches!
My deepest sympathies to his family, friends and patients. May God continue to heal, and comfort each and every one of you.

Dr Chin was my doctor when I lived in Orange Park before retiring from civil service in July 2004. He was a wonderful doctor and I just learned he had passed when I searched his name to come see him again and bring someone with me. What a shock! I am sorry for our loss but he was a good man and made this world a better place.

To the Family of Dr Chin
I just found out he passed away,
I'm very upset that I did not attend the services of such a wonderful man.
He helped me through the hardest time in my life, I was missed diagnosed by regular doctors
He saved my life.
He also taught my son when he found out he was entering medical school.
I am crying right now because I can never repay this man for the wisdom he gave to my son.
Let me tell you
He is one of the greatest Man I have ever known. I know how much he loved his family
And I know you will keep his legacy alive with the wisdom I know he taught you.
Make sure you listen.
Your father is and will always be a Great one.

Your in my heart and prayers

I only had the privilege of meeting Dr. Chin Three times. You see he was my Mothers Doctor. However, Dr Chin Left an indelible mark on me. I decided to pursue integrative health as a career just this night. I wanted to tell Dr. Chin. He was a dear man and really left quite an important legacy. My regards to his family.

Today I am very saddened to learn of his passing on May 4th. Dr. Chin became one of the most important blessings and dearest friends in my life. In 2004 I met him for acupuncture treatment relating to spinal nerve impinchment that would have otherwise put me on the operating table. What a wonderful man for me to have had the honor to know so well, and to always be greeted with a warm hug with such a passion for human morality and well being! He showed his love and devotion for others with his whole essence; his humble mannerism, his genuine professionalism, and witty charm. His spiritual life was clearly profound and divinely rooted. And yes, he made it his own through his wise words and gentle smile. Such an inspiration...occasionally reminding me that I am the king and master of my own life in all that I do and choose. Dr. Chin you will always remain in my heart and soul, and I will greatly miss you...see you again on the other side. Much love.

His power came from a great reservoir of spiritual life otherwise it couldn't have been so universal (loved by everyone) and he made it his own through his wise words and gentle smile. But it wasn't so much his wisdom as his faith in humanity and the love he showed to everyone especially his patients. It was how he made us feel.

He was a friend and mentor and his lessons manifest themselves daily. I miss him dearly. Dr. J. Martinez

I just learned of Dr. Chins death . I am greatly saddened. He played a big part in my recovery to health in the 90s Moreover Dr. Chin forever taught me lessons of control the mind and control your reality. When he would greet me at the office door, I might say, "how are you today Dr. Chin,": his answer would be "wonderful, why would I choose to be anything else." One day he showed up for his afternoon appointments 2 hours late, an office full of grumpy patients. He said had gone to pick up his car, they promised to drive him directly back to the office but instead went to the beach first. Yet Dr. Chin said " my peace of mind is my highest priority, I will not let this disturb me."He came to my son,s Bar Mitzvah in 1990, he looked elegant and striking. strong on the outside and soft on the inside, wise all over I am blessed to have known him.
